The job will entail Night shift working hours. The responsible person will be administrating on i-Series servers, Windows and Linux Duties and Responsibilities include: 1. Running backups and Day-end jobs on the i-Series 2. Do basic administration on the i-series, Monitor Disk usage, CPU usage and other administrative requirements 3. Will be doing backups on the various windows and Linux servers 4. Proactive monitoring of servers and equipment to ensure proactive steps are taken to reduce outages. 5. Perform initial troubleshooting techniques in outage situations and escalates problems via the escalation procedure. 6. Ensures both customers and internal management are notified of outage situations. 7. Performs other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. This person must have 1 - 2 years experience in i-Series Operations The candidate must have 2-3 years working experience in Network and Server Support Good working knowledge on Windows server administration Good working knowledge on Linux server administration This person should be knowledgeable of data communication protocols including TCP/IP and working knowledge of industry standard monitoring tools. This candidate will be knowledgeable of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. This individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
